Recipe for Asparagus Side Dish:
1 pound of fresh asparagus, prepared like I show in the video
1 pound of bacon, diced into small pieces
2 tablespoons of butter
1 medium sweet onion, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, minced
Zest of a lemon
Juice of a lemon
2 tablespoons of sliced almonds (optional)
1 tablespoon of chopped Italian parsley
Salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Instructions:

In a large non-stick skillet, cook the diced bacon over medium heat, stirring frequently until it turns almost crisp and golden brown.
Add the butter to the skillet and cook down the onion. Add the lemon juice and add the asparagus. Sauté the mixture until the asparagus becomes tender-crisp, which should take around 3-4 minutes.
Add the minced garlic, lemon zest, almonds, and chopped parsley to the skillet. Sauté for about a minute until the aroma fills the air.
Season the dish with salt and freshly ground pepper according to your taste preferences.
Serve the keto asparagus immediately and enjoy this flavorful and nutritious dish!
